Five more minutes mommy

Definitely something new happened this week . . . whenever I would get ready to put Ellie down for her nap, Emma would say to me,"Can you wait five more minutes mommy? I want to play with Ellie a little bit longer." Hard to argue with that when they are playing so well together. They definitely have their moments, but they are really starting to play well on their own (well of course, until someone gets hurt and starts crying or screaming!).

This week was pretty quiet, so that was nice! We had two cold and rainy days, so that helped me feel like it is really Christmas. I complained to both my parents about how cold it was, but they didn't have much sympathy for me since it was below zero back home in Nebraska. Sucks to be you guys! ;o) We even spent one morning in our jammies, reading while we listened to it rain. It was so nice, just wish Daddy could of joined us too! Here are some pictures from this week . . .

Emma and Ellie sat down to read one night while I was fixing dinner. Emma even read Ellie one of her books to her and my heart about melted. It was one of those loving moments between them two.

The girls love time with Daddy when he gets home!

Okay, these two are a couple of sillies. They sit up at the counter, but I have to keep a seat between them so that they can't "touch" each other (remember doing that to my loving sister Lisa when I was little and was forced to sit by her!). Well, Ellie likes to tease Emma by pretending she is going to tip her chair back and Emma starts freaking out. Sisters . . .

"Who me? What did I do??"

Emma's first cup of hot cocoa . . .

Can you say ornery?

Aunt Tina finished up classes this week, so we had her over to watch Elf, dinner and to open presents since she is going to be in Colorado over Christmas. The girls loved their new backpacks!

With all the weather this week, we had rain, but the mountains got quite a bit of snow. I thought this was a beautiful shot of the mountains as you drive into our development.
We also did Christmas cookies with Gramma one day and the girls were quite the little helpers.

That is a long dang counter! Those two girls will be pulling each other's hair in a few years...it runs in the family. :) Enjoy them playing nice for the moment.
Nice outside picture...weird how weather can be so divided.
