Yes, we are still here surviving the heat . . . it has been 114 the past couple of days. You just kind of get used to it, really! Gramma and Poppo left yesterday. It was nice having them here. It was almost like vacation for Chris and I (it was like we weren't even here!!). The girls were glad to see them and enjoyed themselves. They helped us get our "sugar shack" up (thanks Heather and Cliff!). It is nice having some shade in the back. We celebrated Emma's birthday while they were here and made the trip to Chuck E Cheese and it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Emma was a bit leery (normal for her), but once she got the hang of it, she had a good time. And of course, independent Ellie, wanted to ride all of the rides without any help! That one's going to be trouble! We went to our favorite place, LG's while they were here (thanks Tina and Dave for watching the girls for us). It was out of this world!!!
Yesterday, we got the garage organized and things hung up on the wall. Chris did a great job getting things done. Dad, you'd be impressed! It is nice to have a garage that has room for cars and tools, not just boxes and junk! We are still painting . . . . working on our room right now and it is taking FOREVER!!!! Painting with two small children required a lot of patience.
Emma has now began her "why" stage. Everything is why, why, why. Oh well, I should be grateful it didn't start before now! Ellie is definitely an Ellie Bellie. Everyone she meets, she lifts up her shirt to say hello. At first I thought it was cute, but now I wonder when will that stop??? Ellie has to do everything Emma does. They get a long most days and of course always have to be playing with the same toy. Sisters . . .
