Happy Father's Day!!
We started off today with a breakfast for daddy!! We then decided we NEEDED to wash the cars badly. So we got that done AND have both cars parked in the garage. That was quite an accomplishment. We are heading to Home Depot later so that Chris can get some hooks and such to get the garage organized. We will also be picking up some pink paint for the girls' play area underneath the stairs, as that is our project for this next coming week.
Yesterday, we ventured out and took the girls to the Living Desert (local mini zoo) to see the new baby giraffe. Great idea, but it was so incredibly hot that it wasn't all that great AND there were hardly any animals out at all. We did see the baby giraffe. We got to feed the giraffe's, but the girls weren't too keen on that, so daddy and mommy did instead and I had a good time. We came home, cooled off, then went to Dave and Tina's for some pool time and a BBQ. We had a great time!! Emma was a little timid at first, but Tina helped her feel comfortable and before we got out, she was jumping into the water. Ellie liked it from the beginning and was a little to anxious to just jump in. It was great!
